Open Studios 2013- Day 2

OMG!!!...ssoooo busy!!
A steady stream of visitors kept our kickwheel in constant motion again as kids and adults came into the art studios at Sydney Olymypic Park to see artists at work in their 'natural habitat'.....would have been nice if they fed us too, park rangers wouldn't have objected!

The Artists at the Armoury Studios is a multi-discipline arts studio and this weekend myself, potter Szilvia Gyorgy and textile artist Ilse Versluijs as well as my fabulous assistant/son Dane kept up a non-stop stream of conversation, information, instruction, snacks, coffee and all-out humour as people came and went in their curiosity about the art and pottery that now comes out of the pre-loved ammunitions storage sheds used by the Navy on what was Dept. of Defence land, now rehabilitated and definitely friendlier!

A really ENJOYABLE weekend!!!.....though this morning I'm flat out on the floor at home typing and catching my breath before venturing back out to the studio again this afternoon......ummm....maybe tomorrow?!

Open Studios 2013- Day 1

Clay play for kids, kick wheel for adults, yoga for us....what a great start to the Ceramics Open Studios event this weekend 17&18 Aug for us at the Artists in the Armoury art studios at Sydney Olympic Park...looking forward to meeting some more lovely people tomorrow for Day 2!

A big week end to sticky-beak into a potter's studio!...100 potters around Australia (including me!) will open up their studios for people to come in try something, buy something or just plain look around and ask questions.....Mudslinger Ceramics can be found at the Artists in the Armoury studios at Sydney Olympic Park...come for coffee, clay and cake!!...will be great to see you!
